Felling Trailers’ Custom FT-36-3 Trailer “Awesome” for SandBags LLC
Problem:
SandBags LLC, a manufacturer & supplier of high-quality sandbags for the construction industry, pipeline development, and disaster response in Las Vegas, NV needed a custom trailer for its mobile sandbag factory. Each mobile sandbag factory can be deployed to anywhere in the US and Canada for the quick filling of quality sandbags. Sandbags can either be filled on-site or filled and delivered. Sandbags needed a custom trailer manufacturer that would collaboratively work together to build the right trailer for the job.
Solution:
Sandbags contacted Felling Trailers’ custom trailer division, as Sandbags was not completely certain of what it needed. After speaking about the project and its specific needs, Sandbags asked Felling Trailers to design and build a custom trailer to put the “mobile” in its mobile sandbag factory. After Felling Trailers built a prototype trailer for Sandbags, the two companies collaborated to build the ideal trailer for the application.
Result:
Through this collaboration, Felling Trailers designed and built an FT-36-3 trailer model, a custom unit equipped with air over hydraulic disc brakes, custom mounting brackets for Sandbags’ equipment and conveyor system, and custom storage compartments. The result is the correct foundation for SandBags’ sandbag filling machines. SandBags LLC has purchased several of these Felling Trailers models and plans to order more. “The end result is awesome,” said Dale Dowers, CEO of Sandbags LLC, “We are very pleased with (Felling Trailers).”
