Preventing injuries and enhancing workplace safety should be a priority every day. For example, it’s safer to lift trailer ramps with two people instead of one, and it’s important to bend your knees when lifting to avoid injury. To further minimize risks, Felling Trailers can be equipped with Air Ramp Technology, eliminating the need to lift heavy ramps manually. The Air Ramp system handles all the lifting, which helps prevent back injuries and promotes a safer work environment.

This technology operates using an airbag system that draws from the same supply as the truck’s air brake system. This means that any air-brake-equipped truck can efficiently operate a Felling Trailer with the air ramp system without needing an additional power source, such as a battery, gas engine, or hydraulic system.

Felling Trailers offers air ramps with available lengths of 6’ to 8’, with a variety of decking options. The 11’ Air Bi-Fold ramps were designed to accommodate the load angle necessary when loading cumbersome low-clearance equipment such as paving equipment and directional drills. The Air Bi-Fold ramps’ length provides the operator with a gentler, more gradual incline to provide ease in loading/unloading with its 9.5º load angle with the option of air ride suspension when the air is dropped.
