One of the main reasons that people choose a Felling Trailer is because there are so many options for customization! People can create a trailer that is ideal for their unique situation and the equipment or materials they are hauling. One example of the customized trailer options available is the Double Incline Beavertail Option by Felling Trailers (also known as the Double Break Beavertail Option).
Double Incline Beavertail Option by Felling Trailers
The Double Incline Beavertail Option can be added to a wide range of Felling Trailers, such as the Deck-Over Tag Trailers, and semi-trailer models like the OTR, Narrow Neck, and MX Series. It is very beneficial for loading and hauling many types of equipment, from excavators to equipment with a longer wheelbase and low ground clearance. The basic design idea of the Double Incline Beavertail Option is to reduce the break-over angle at the top of the beavertail. The Double Incline Beavertail option changes the break-over angle from approximately 14° into two approximately 7° angles about two feet apart. The smaller break-over angles will reduce the track-style machine “flop over center” by half and increase operator control and safety. This benefit increases with taller profile machines, like excavators for an example. The other end of the machine spectrum that benefit is the longer wheelbase and low ground clearance style machines. The Double Incline Beavertail option reduces the relative height of the peak of the break-over point as compared to the incline angles of the beavertail.
